Teen Rehab in Peru - Private Residential Treatment
Our private residential program in Lima is designed for adolescents (16+) and for families who need quick clarity (what’s included, how intake works, and what the next steps look like from the U.S.) We start with a confidential family evaluation and, from there, guide you through an organized admissions process with clear requirements for minors and support coordinating travel.

Family evaluation
Most teen admissions need to start with the adults. The family evaluation is a confidential virtual appointment with parents or guardians, our clinical team, and the program leadership.
We review what’s happening at home, assess safety and risk, and confirm whether residential treatment is the right next step – before any travel.
What we review
- Current situation and level of risk
- Use patterns and relapses
- Mental health symptoms when present
- Current medication and active prescriptions
- Prior medical or psychological reports (if available)
What you receive after the evaluation
- A clear recommendation on fit
- A step-by-step admissions plan from the U.S.
- An administrative call to review pricing, requirements, and possible intake dates
Teen admissions from The U.S - How It Works
We keep it simple and family-friendly. Here’s what the process looks like:
Step 1 - Virtual Admissions Appointment (Confidential)
We start with a virtual call with the family. We review what’s happening, assess whether residential treatment is appropriate, and define the next steps.
Step 2 - Family Guidance (When The Person Doesn’t Want Help)
When someone resists, families often feel stuck. During admissions, we share practical communication strategies to increase the chances they agree to travel and begin treatment.
Step 3 - Live Virtual Tour (Zoom)
If it helps you decide, we schedule a guided live Zoom tour so you can see the facility in real time and ask questions directly.
Step 4 - Administrative Call (Pricing, Requirements, Dates)
In parallel (or after the tour), we schedule a call to review:
- Pricing And What’s Included
- Requirements And Documentation
- Possible Intake Dates And Arrival Coordination
Step 5 - Travel + Intake Day
Once travel is set, we coordinate arrival and begin the clinical intake process.

We accept adolescents ages 16 and up.
For ages 16–17, intake requires written consent from both parents or legal guardians. During admissions, we confirm guardianship and share the authorization/consent form that must be signed.
What residential treatment for teens includes
Residential treatment for teens is not a “summer reset.” It’s a structured setting designed to interrupt harmful patterns, support stabilization, and rebuild routines with professional supervision.
In our program, the goal is for each day to be predictable and useful-consistent routines, therapy, and clear expectations.
- Daily structure and monitoring to reduce chaos and support early stability
- Individual and group therapy focused on skills, coping, and relapse prevention
- Practical tools for urges, stress, triggers, and emotional regulation
- Family support to sustain changes outside the program
What the first week looks like (what to expect as a family)
The first week is usually an observation and stabilization phase. The goal is to establish a baseline, reduce immediate risks, and help the teen adapt to structure.
- Nursing receives the teen and completes an initial assessment
- 24/7 monitoring while sleep, appetite, and withdrawal symptoms (if any) are observed
- Medical evaluation and clinical review as needed
- Gradual integration into routines when clinically appropriate
This is also when many families feel the first relief—because the situation becomes organized, supervised, and clear.
Teen-only environment and safety
Teen safety isn’t a talking point—it’s operational.
- Teen-only area separated from adult residents
- Additional safety measures for minors beyond standard protocols
- 24/7 nursing care and continuous supervision
For teen care, we use a dedicated sleeping area and bathrooms exclusively for minors.
Family communication and involvement
Family participation is part of the therapeutic process—and we keep it structured.
- Weekly family interviews to coordinate and prepare key milestones
- Planned family visits as part of the process (timing depends on the case)
- Clear communication boundaries aligned with clinical judgment and the teen’s privacy
If the family travels for a visit, we can help with logistics such as transportation from the hotel to the residential site.
Intake safety and urgent situations
Families deserve operational clarity-clear steps, clear roles, and clear escalation paths.
Initial nursing assessment
Nursing performs an initial check and reviews belongings. Prohibited items are handed to the accompanying guardian or stored per policy.
Medical and psychiatric evaluation
- Medical evaluation typically within the first 24 hours
- Psychiatric evaluation typically within the first 72 hours (or sooner if needed)
What happens if an urgent situation occurs
- Nursing observes and evaluates first
- The doctor is notified and assesses the situation
- If a higher level of care is needed, we coordinate external care
- We accompany the teen and contact the family to align next steps
Who this program is a fit for
This program is designed for teens whose use or related behaviors are affecting daily life—school, relationships, safety, and stability at home.
- Withdrawal risk that benefits from residential supervision
- Polysubstance use or repeated relapses
- Co-occurring symptoms alongside use
- High-risk environments that keep triggering relapse
If the case requires a more complex hospital level of care, we assess it and coordinate the appropriate next step.
